At the heart of this work is the belief that understanding who we are, what has shaped us, and what we genuinely value allows us to engage with life more consciously and express ourselves with greater intention.
Living Dvnly exists to help people live with greater intention by bringing identity, storytelling, creativity, and design into conversation with one another.
{ Long before Living Dvnly was a business, I was telling stories and building community through a blog on Tumblr. }
I'm a mother first. My son is the reason I slow down now, notice the smaller things, and build a life that feels as good to live as it looks from the outside.
I originally created my platform to discover my own voice. Those early blogs became a community and eventually led to a career I never planned, but they were rooted in a curiosity that still guides my work today. I've always been interested in how people understand themselves, how their experiences influence their perspectives, and how those perspectives shape the lives they create.
Fourteen years later, I still return to a version of the question I was asking then: Does this feel like you? Most of what I've learned across Fortune 500 brands, independent businesses, creative projects, and my own life comes back to understanding the relationship between who we are, what we've experienced, and how we choose to express ourselves.
Living Dvnly brings those interests together through different forms of storytelling, creative work, and education. The Practice is where I help people and organizations develop and communicate their ideas and stories, while my essays, fiction, podcast, books, and original projects allow me to explore identity, culture, consciousness, and the ways we experience the world. Although the formats may change, my curiosity remains the same: how we become who we are, what shapes our understanding of what's possible, and how we participate in creating our lives.

Living Dvnly explores the relationship between identity, consciousness, culture, and lived experience, examining how greater awareness of ourselves and the narratives influencing our lives can open us to new perspectives and possibilities.

Corporate Beginnings, 2010
I began building my corporate career across marketing, brand development, education, and creative direction, gaining an early understanding of how organizations shape the stories people experience.

The Tumblr Baddie, 2011 - 2012
Before I owned a business, I built an online platform to discover my voice. It became a community I never planned for and taught me how personal stories can create recognition and connection. In 2015, whoisamberjanae.com received its first award.

Dvn Oasis, 2019 to 2020
I founded Dvn Oasis, the creative studio that would later become Living Dvnly. The business began with a guiding principle that still shapes the work today: clarity precedes visibility.

First Luxury Client, 2020
I began working with my first independent luxury client during the same year Living Dvnly launched. That experience set the standard for the thoughtful, story-led work I wanted the practice to produce.

Fortune 500 Work, 2021
The corporate relationships I had built throughout the previous decade expanded into brand development, product education, messaging, and creative work through Living Dvnly. I learned that questions about identity, story, and expression appear at every scale.

The Podcast, 2023
I launched the Living Dvnly podcast to make room for conversations and ideas that didn't belong in a client deliverable. That platform would eventually evolve into Stories We Return To.

Global Fashion Collab, 2024
A creative collaboration with Bryon Javar and a global fashion brand brought the principles guiding my independent client work to a much larger audience and resulted in a storytelling-led masterclass experience.

A Practice Rooted In Storytelling, 2025
Living Dvnly evolved from a brand strategy studio into a storytelling practice, creating more room for narrative strategy, editorial work, books, workshops, original projects, and the stories found throughout everyday life.
